Dear Band Families,
Enclosed you will find the New Orleans trip information and commitment letter. Please read the information carefully but it is important to know that we will need at a minimum of 18 parent chaperone’s to travel with us in addition to certified and adjunct staff members. If we do not have enough chaperone’s we will not be able to make the trip. We also will need enough members of the band to travel as well so that each performing ensemble will be able to compete at it’s highest level.
As we get ready to send in deposits for the trip all students and parents will need to have covered the $100 non-refundable deposit. This money will hold event tickets, performance slots, buses, and hotel space. If you would like for your student to go on the trip and are not able to afford the costs please contact Mr. Davis, there is some scholarship money available. If you are a parent and would like to help a student with scholarship money also please contact Mr. Davis. Even small donations are helpful! This will be a fun and educational trip for your students that will create memories that will last a lifetime!

Adjudicated Competition with awards
We must have enough students commit to the trip to allow the competing ensembles the ability to perform at a high level. We will also need chaperones to go with us and must meet a ration of 1 chaperone for every 8 students. We will need to have 16-18 chaperones to allow us to be able to travel. Please remember that trip is NOT a reuirement of the course but we would love to have everyone participate. This is a great opportunity for our students.
